What is Paws for the Cause?
Paws for the Cause is our annual fundraising campaign. Your contribution maintains and covers the cost for enrichment programs, activities, and experiences. The donations collected will benefit all students. Every penny goes directly to fund the programs and is in lieu of “door-to-door selling,” i.e. gift-wrap, cookie dough.
What am I paying for?
Why are these programs and events important?
These programs will directly benefit our children by providing a higher quality, well-rounded education…and they really enjoy them! These enrichment programs are key for allowing students to broaden their scope of learning while gaining a rich and rewarding experience during the school year. These programs are a big part of what makes TRE one of the best schools in the state—a California Gold Ribbon and California Distinguished School! Our social events help to build a strong sense of community and family.
Don’t my tax dollars pay for these programs?
Unfortunately not, California provides little to no funding for any of these types of enrichment programs and events!
How did we come up with $180 donation amount?
The PTA took into account the rising costs to fund our core programs and determined that if we have 100% participation we would be able to provide these valuable programs for our students. If you wish to go “above and beyond” we have included additional donation amounts in hopes of going “above and beyond” for our student’s enrichment. Every donation at the $180 level will receive a free spirit wear “Paws for the Cause t-shirt”, and one PTA Membership. Every donation at the $250 level will receive a free spirit wear “Paws for the Cause t-shirt”, and one PTA Membership. Lastly, at the $350 donation level, you will receive a free spirit wear “Paws for the Cause t-shirt”, a hardcover yearbook and one PTA Membership. For multiple child families just add $100 to your desired donation level for each additional child.
What if I can’t contribute the full amount all at once?
Your PTA offers a PayPal option that will divide your contribution into 4 payments starting on the day you register and then the next 3 months following.(payment will be withdrawn on the 15th of the month)
What payment option is best?
If you pay by check, Tustin Ranch PTA receives the full amount of your contribution. Credit cards charge a service fee, however, all forms of payment are welcome.
Why should I contribute?
This is an investment in your child’s educational experience. Without your help, our kids don’t get these extras they enjoy & deserve. All or part of your gift may be tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. Please check with your tax advisor.
